Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:     

 

Operational

Create, copywrite and translate UDST content for different type of channels to ensure the consistency in the messages and tone of voice.

Contribute to accurate distribution of UDST news, publications and information through relevant internal and external online and offline media platforms to support communications initiatives.

Support in the writing and distribution of copy for publications, marketing and promotional materials and press releases for various print and social media channels to encourage awareness of UDST in alignment with communication strategies and plans.

Maintain strong working relationships with media stakeholders to encourage positive digital media, Tv, Radio, press coverage of UDST.

Facilitate response to media requests for interviews, photos and other information to ensure positive, accurate and timely promotion of UDST in line with UDST’s initiatives.

Support in media training for senior management and Academic Staff as required, to strengthen their role as UDST representatives on a need basis.

Assist in the research and writing of speaking notes for UDST executives and external guests for corporate events and press conferences.

Liaise with all business units to share information and identify the latest positive stories and accomplishments that can be communicated to strengthen brand positioning.

Monitor external news reports and escalate complex issues or negative press to the Manager, Communications to contribute towards maintenance and protection of the UDST public image.

Research new media ideas for distribution of information, identify new online and offline promotional opportunities and suggest recommendations to the Manager, Communications.

Arrange and coordinate media initiatives, including buying ads, earning media and negotiation to provide cost-effective solutions for UDST.

Manage and analyze online media mentions.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications required

 

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Communications, or related field

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.
