Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:     

 

Strategic 1. Support in the formulation of Partnerships and Engagements Directorate and contribute to UDST’s strategy. 2. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the position of UDST in the local community. 3. Aid and counsel the Director, Partnerships and Engagements on local partnerships strategies. 4. Lead the development and implementation of local partnerships department plans in alignment with divisional and UDST strategy.5.Translate operational feedback into strategic improvements to enhance the department’s performance. 6. Lead and contribute to the implementation of strategies to raise funds for UDST via corporate gifts and sponsorships. 7. Review existing strategies utilized by local partnerships regularly and provide recommendations to continuously improve services. Operational 1. Identify opportunities for increasing engagement with target audiences including donors, membership organizations, local Higher Education Institutions and partners while maintaining transparent communication channels. 2. Establish strategies to systematically process partner outreach and relationship management. 3. Steer the process of MoU development between the University and its stakeholders, as applicable. 4. Develop and manage implementation of processes for partners’ engagement which enhance engagement and expand the number and quality of local partners. 5. Formulate annual operational plans with targets, metrics and KPIs. 6. Monitor and Assess the Local Partnerships works, evaluate department’s performance progress and provide regular reports to the Director, Partnerships and Engagements. 7. Manage the implementation of local partnership programs and work in partnership with other business units to identify products and services that can be appropriately commercialized. 8. Lead and advice the local partnerships team with the identification, onboarding and enablement of new partners, based on research, project needs and missing competencies. 9. Follow up on identified opportunities for research programs funded by government sponsored grants and directly by industry and liaise with the relevant business units. 10. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Directorate to organize and plan various fundraising events. 11. Manage workshops and seminars for highlighting and exploring Partnerships and Engagements activities and funding opportunities. 12. Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive local partnership database ensuring timely update of partner details and collaboration metrics. 13. Support in the budget calculations and cost impact analysis for planned initiatives and partner events. 14. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. People Management 15. Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on UDST’s Employee Performance Management framework to ensure continual high performance of employees in alignment with the UDST's mission and mandate. 16. Contribute to the development of employees through identifying appropriate learning and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Master’s degree in in a relevant field is required.

Professional certification is preferred.

 

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of similar experience with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial position

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.
