Overview

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Emiri Decision No13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. UDST has over 70 bachelor's and master's degree programs, diplomas, and certificates. The university houses 5 colleges: The College of Business, the College of Computing and Information Technology, the College of Engineering and Technology, the College of Health Sciences, and the College of General Education, in addition to specialized training centers for individuals and companies. UDST is recognized for its student-centered learning and state-of-the-art facilities. Its world-renowned faculty and researchers work on developing the students’ skills and help raise well-equipped graduates who proudly serve different sectors of the economy and contribute to achieving human, social, and economic development goals nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

Coordinate technical and financial requirements to close new project opportunities.

Liaise with the Legal Affairs Directorate to draft partnership agreements required for the signature and implementation of new projects.

Establish and further develop partnerships with international organizations, governments, international NGOs to diversify project opportunities within UDST.

Contribute to the ongoing research, development and implementation of best practice and innovative approaches to maximize performance and sustain achievements in project and international partnership development.

Contribute to the dissemination and sharing of best practices and lessons learned for planning and knowledge building within International partnership development.

Provide regular feedback on existing systems, tools and resources to ensure its relevance to day-to-day operations.

Attend and contribute as required to external international partnership meetings; prepare progress reports and briefing documents, and provide subject matter support on operational activities to University leaders

Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the University's key research and academic programme strengths, and student development, pastoral care and extracurricular offerings. Contribute information appropriately at international partnership meetings so the University's interests and strengths are reflected in annual event plans and student exchange arrangements.

Promote positive engagement across the University with international partnership planned initiatives.

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key contributing academic and support services areas and staff.

Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for international partnerships, as needed.

Build and sustain collaborative working relationships and networks with external partner organizations and stakeholders to achieve constructive partnerships at an operational level, and to support strategic initiatives and the advancement of the international partnership strategies.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field is required

Language:

 

Fluency in written and spoken English language is required

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred
