Responsibilities

University of Doha for Science and Technology – Human Capital Directorate is inviting nominations and applications for the position of a Temporary HC Operations Specialist. Reporting to the Manager HC Operations, the HC Operations Specialist is responsible to support the Human Capital Directorate in smooth operation ensuring consistency and accuracy in order to promote a positive culture within UDST.

 

This position requires a diligent administrative expert who will develop, monitor and coordinate HC operations activities in a timely and accurate manner e.g. employee contracts, HC operations policies etc. with the aim to enhance the working environment and support employees.

 

The successful candidate will support the Manager, HC Operations in updating the HC policies and communicating changes to the employees.

The successful candidate will utilize the HC policy manual as prime point of reference regarding employee related guidance and accordingly respond to relevant employee request aligning the response based on HC policy manual (e.g. Leave request, Eligibilities, transportation, etc.).

 

S/He shall also process allowances and benefits e.g. children’s education allowance, patriation/repatriation shipping allowance etc.

The successful candidate will handle employee contracts that are renewed for existing employees, contractors, temporary hires etc. S/He will also handle all memos relating to employee, such as confirmation of service, transfers, promotions, employee exits and disseminate this information to relevant personnel in a timely manner.

 

The successful candidate will monitor UDST employee’s compliance to the HC policies and procedures and collaborate with Employee Relations Specialist to take appropriate actions in case of grievance and disciplinary actions.

The successful candidate will facilitate employee exits and accordingly conduct exit interviews and support in administering severance and assist with related decision and notification pertaining to employee exits related to termination of employment.

 

The successful candidate will ensure effective, efficient and timely processing and updating of employee’s records/files both manual and electronic and keep track of all the employees’ information in personnel files ensuring employee records are maintained/updated in the system.

 

The successful candidate will handle the related tasks pertaining to hiring employees on the system alongside performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Human Capital or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Human Capital or related field

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is required.
