University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Emiri Decision No13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. UDST has over 70 bachelor's and master's degree programs, diplomas, and certificates. The university houses 5 colleges: The College of Business, the College of Computing and Information Technology, the College of Engineering and Technology, the College of Health Sciences, and the College of General Education, in addition to specialized training centers for individuals and companies. University of Doha for Science and Technology – Student Engagement Department - Profile:   

University of Doha for Science and Technology – Student Engagement Department is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Student Communication Specialist.  Reporting to the Manager, Student Engagement, the Student Communication Specialist must possess the digital media and communication expertise necessary to support the Student Engagement Division of the University, fully implementing UDST’s mission and vision.

 

Role Summary:

We’re looking for a creative communicator with strong digital and design skills to lead student-focused content and engagement efforts at UDST. This role is all about connecting with students through social media, design, and storytelling that brings campus life to life.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, create, and manage content for Student Engagement platforms (social media, website, digital screens, etc.).
  • Design eye-catching visuals and graphics for events, campaigns, and student life materials.
  • Cover events on campus by capturing photos, videos, and student testimonials.
  • Create short-form videos and Instagram Reels to promote activities and highlight student experiences.
  • Work closely with Marketing and other departments to align messaging and branding.
  • Monitor performance analytics to improve reach and content impact.

 

Key Skills:

  • Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Pro or similar).
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills tailored to student audiences.
  • Up-to-date with digital trends and student engagement tactics.
  • Confident in covering events and creating content on the go.

Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social media or a related field required

 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

 

  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English language and Arabic language required.
