The Institutional Excellence Directorate invites applications for Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance position.

 

Your Commitment

Reporting to the Institutional Excellence Director of University for Doha Science and Technology the successful candidate will oversee, direct the activities within the Department of Strategic planning, performance and risk management. To manage and organize the development of UDST ’s overall strategic plan and risk management strategies and framework.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will develop and manage the formulation of UDST’s Strategic Plan.

 

The successful candidate will manage and organize the formulation of UDST’s Risk Management strategies.

 

The successful candidate will manage and organize the collaboration with Business Units to develop annual institutional operational plans in alignment with UDST's strategic plan.

 

The successful candidate will develop and manage Strategic Planning and Risk Management framework(s) and processes.

 

The successful candidate will cooperate with Business Units and manage the development of Strategic Plan as per the framework.

 

The successful candidate will cooperate with Business Units and manage the development of the Risk Register.

The successful candidate will appraise strategic KPIs and submit Strategic performance reports to Director, IE.

 

The successful candidate will monitor the implementation of institutional annual operational initiatives is in alignment with the strategic plan.

 

The successful candidate will manage the development of project management methodologies and standards for the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives.

 

The successful candidate will develop operational initiatives and ensure its implementation for the improvement of strategic planning & risk management.

 

The successful candidate will consolidate recommendations based on the benchmarking exercises and reports and focus on positioning UDST against peer organizations at local, regional, and international levels with regards to higher education.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree required in Business Management or related field is required.
  • Doctorate Degree is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Strategic Planning, Quality Assurance and Risk Management or relevant field at a similar level.
  • Minimum 4 years of managerial job -related experience at a similar level; preferably in higher education institutions

Language

Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred.

 

Other Required Skills

 

Analytical thinking, Problem-Solving, Teamwork and Collaborative Working individual, Time Management and Service Excellence competencies are required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential.
