University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Emiri Decision No13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. UDST has over 70 bachelor's and master's degree programs, diplomas, and certificates. Responsibilities

This position requires an individual to communicate, promote and enforce policies, procedures and regulations related to aquatics program, swimming pool and facilities. She/ He needs to Recognize and respond effectively to swimming pool and recreation emergencies through knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques. Moreover, complete and track incident reports to provide an accurate record of incidents and plan training and strategy to prevent future accidents. The successful candidate will develop and implement recreational and competitive swim programs, activities, and events to encourage and facilitate use of UDST recreation facilities and to promote health and wellness. Also, maintain a safe and secure environment inside and outside the swimming pool and safeguard the activities of participants using the aquatics facility in alignment with health and safety policies and procedures of UDST. Liaise with other recreation members to promote sport and wellness at UDST and keep and report pool-use statistics and recommend new promotional techniques to increase swimming pool use. She/ He will engage in administrative duties related to aquatic activities and events (i.e. maintaining action plans, budgets, and expenditures, needs assessments and feedback). Attend UDST meetings and participate in initiatives to monitor and enhance student health and wellness development.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications  

 

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

 

Professional certification in Aquatics required such as :

Professional certification(s) in lifeguard training,

Swim instructor training

Swim team coaching

 

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

 

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English language required.

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred.
