University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Emiri Decision No13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. The selected candidate will Collect and verify payments, recording them in PeopleSoft to ensure receipts are issued and retained to provide evidence of the transaction. Also, provide accurate, timely, and reliable financial reports to the Head, Accounting to support the administration of the accounting system. He/she will Support the preparation of timely invoices and process outstanding invoices and late fees to ensure all activities and documentation are accurate and properly authorized. Liaise with Accounts Payable Accountant to accurately process student refunds in alignment with UDST’s procedures. The successful candidate will Support the upload and interface procedures for UDST’s accounting software systems to ensure accurate revenue record keeping. Review, verify, and approve credit term applications and requests and generate credit memos in accordance with UDST accounting guidelines. He/ She will Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and reporting and participate in quarterly balance sheet review to provide regular revenue overviews. Moreover, provide support for audits, report filing, process improvement and compliance review in alignment with UDST policies and procedures. Assist with month-end closing process for accounts receivable, according to UDST accounting procedures. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language required.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred.
